Love the size, safety, durability and bendability!
I bought a whole bunch of toddler-sized utensils for learning purposes. These are the favorite so far.- size: people complain they're small, but let me tell you... my toddler can get a huge, messy bite onto this spoon and, slowly but surely, is successfully getting that bite to her mouth. The spoon is shallow, but we're still working mostly with foods that stick to the spoon a little, like yogurt, applesauce and the like.- safety: she can explore fork function without any risk of actually stabbing things or herself. Mostly she places bits of fruit onto the fork part.- bendability: these not only bend left/right but up/down so they've been great for helping her figure out how to feed herself.- quality/durability: despite the low cost, they're very nicely made and are holding up well. Once she figured out she could bend them herself, there were a few days when the spoon got very abused but it's no worse for wear. She will grow out of them quickly, yes, because they are so small. But for a real beginner set these were worth the money.

Perfect for 11 mo old's first attempts with spoon; Fork useless
Reviews for this product seem split evenly between positive and negative. I think it depends on your kid's age. These are small. They are perfect for my 11-mo old, who has started to take an interest in spoon-feeding himself. The size and shape are perfect, and the raised edge of the spoon bed prevents peas from falling off on the way to his mouth. However, the raised edges also prevent him from getting all of food off the spoon if it's mushy stuff like oatmeal, which I don't mind. So it's a good spoon for self-feeding, not for the adult to feed baby with.I'm giving it three stars because I wish they'd sell just the spoon, because we don't use the fork. He's still at the chewy/bitey stage, so he chews on both ends a lot. I'm afraid the pieces of the fork will break off in his mouth with his aggressive biting. Also not sure if it can really be used to spear anything.

Gorgeous and Functional
We received these utensils today in part of what I called my "Make Mama and Papa's Like Easier" Kit. These spoons are part of our efforts to teach our 14 month old how to feed herself. They are small but perfect for our little girl's tiny mouth. We ordered the light blue/white version and they are lovely. Baby Girl loved them and took one in each hand. Since she has not picked a dominate hand yet it is good they they can change for either hand. The bent angle is perfect for her self-feeding and the handles are just the right thickness for her hands. Great job Boon! You have another hit here! BTW we also love our Boon Lawn drying. Boon does such a good job blending form and function!

Love the concept, hate the size
I like the fact that they move and they did kind of help our little guy get it to his mouth easier but the only problem was that they can't hold much so yeah he's able to get it to the mouth better but most falls off because there is no room on it. It has a nice handle and was easy for him to hold and loved that I could maneuver to where he would be able to get the food to his mouth.

My new favorite product!
I am seriously in love with this product! My 13 month old has shown signs of wanting to use utensils. I always give him a spoon when he eats and lately he has been reaching over to my plate with his spoon to try to grab food. The problem is that the food always falls off before he gets it to his mouth. So I purchased these wonderful things for Christmas. The first time he used it he was picking up his scrambled eggs with the "spork" and actually getting them in his mouth!!! We were all very excited. He has also used the spoon(bent) to eat yogurt. These are the most fantastic utensils for toddlers.

nice to be able to bend, but too bendable, and a fork would be better than this spork
The size of these utensils is perfect for little hands when working on fine motor skills. The tips of the spoon/spork are bendable so it makes it easier for your child to get the food into his/her mouth. However, it is TOO bendable, when trying to scoop up or get food onto the spork. Also, the spork is seriously a pathetic excuse for a "fork"-it is very difficult for toddlers to pierce into any food item with the spork wthout bending the entire top of it completely. It would be great for Boon to make benders adaptable utensils that actually look and work like a fork rather than this spork.

These are fantastic if you have a young child who likes to "help" during mealtimes. The utensils are very shallow, so you can't get much on them. That is actually a good thing for a beginning feeder, though. I can put a small amount on the spoon, and my son can work on feeding himself without wasting a ton of food. With the chubby handle and easy bending (I can do it with one finger while he's holding the utensils), he's been pretty successful getting the food into his mouth from the very beginning. These probably won't be very useful when he gets old enough to feed himself completely alone, but, with a little parental assistance, they're great for teaching the skill and fostering independence in a new eater.

useful spoons to have
I like these spoons. We don't use them all the time but my daughter likes variety so they are definitely in the rotation. She had a lot of success with them in the beginning of spoon feeding (10 months) and like them still (14 months). I don't know if the bendy option has been that helpful but the size is perfect and the handles are easy to grip for little hands. The problem with the bend is that is dependent on her holding the spoon in the same way every time which doesn't happen. I've had more success with telling her to hold her elbow up. It's very awkward to spoon when your head is so big and arms are short (in comparison).

Brilliant for Blw
We started Baby-led weaning and these are brilliant. While my son can't dip (or scoop food up) yet, he can confidently feed himself with a full spoon once I pass it to him. The handle is nice and soft (and squeedgy) so he enjoys chewing on it, too, but it is short enough so that he can't stick it all too deep into his mouth. You can change how you bend the spoon/ fork for each use very easily and they have a nice sized tip so that baby can't put too much food at once in their mouth. Best cutlery set we bought

Great Set
My daughter is 2.5 with special needs and these are a great set in helping her learn to self feed. Now she can lift the spoon, sometimes it takes a few tries to get her mouth and usually the foods fallen from the spoon so I just twist the top of the 'boon' and its an easier angle for her. These are fab because you can tilt the head from side to side and also twist them! Now I can set them at the perfect angle for her and meal times aren't so frustrating! Fab

This was great in theory but I just don't see these as necessary. My toddler never holds his spoon the same way, so while the bend may work for one bite, he changes his grip for the next bite and the bend becomes a nuisance. The depth of the spoon is rather small too. My go-to spoons are by Munchkin, as they are wider and deeper. Simple.

Great if a little small
Great product to help little ones guide the food towards their mouthThe bowl parts are a bit small I found; but that's my only criticismVery good for those who haven't yet chosen a dominant hand, as you can bend the bowl whichever way they choose on the day.If the bowls were larger I would've given 5 stars!

Excellent for left and right handers
These are a brilliant idea as they allow you to move the angle of the fork and spoon. I bought them for a left hander but they are great for both as little ones alter the angle of how they put spoons into their mouth. I have put them in the dishwasher ( top shelf) and they are still going strong.

Not suitable for my sons special needs
I bought these for my 21 month old son who has Down syndrome. The bendy element is great as they bend in any directin so you can really personalise them for your child. On the down side the handle is so thick he struggles to get his chubby little hands round it and the spoon is so shallow he hardly gets anything on it. So from my point of view not a great product for him but would suit a just weaning baby better maybe. I will not be purchasing anymore. Very pricey for what they are.

Great for early self-feeders
Good for initial self-feeding attempts before my son turned one, now they seemed too small (15 months). The flexibility of the handle was great as he was being especially ambidextrous back then. Also, a quality plastic material with smooth edges and pleasant handles.

Highly recommended for babies learning to feed themselves.
Fantastic for babies learning how to eat on their own. the fact it bends in any direction makes things so much easier for the parents and for the babies

bendy utensils, good idea!
the ends of this spoon and fork can be bent from side to side, or up and down. i think when my 15 month grandson susses that, he will just hold them with his teeth, and bend them. look a good idea tho

Three Stars
These are great, but the handles could be a bit longer

Really helpful to the weaning process
The head moves either side so that it can work for both hands. It is really helping the weaning process for my little girl. The curve of the head helps make sure she gets the food in her mouth

Work well but get stained
Very easy to use for our one year old daughter. Unfortunately blue parts this cutlery stains easily from tomato based sauces, impossible to wash off, believe me I tried. After a couple of weeks of using they look old and stained all over. What a shame.

great for development
great for development. the bending is really easy to do, and you can 're-bend' as often as you want . Made from a plasticky kind of material with a rough grip. Good if you are following baby led weaning principles.
